I couldn't find a copyright renewal for I Wake Up Screaming (1941) aka Hot Spot either. Good find! Let 'er rip!

I presume you searched the text here:
http://www.archive.org/stream/catalogofc19693231213libr/catalogofc19693231213libr_djvu.txt

As usual, this OCRed text has quite a few typos:

1 MARRIED AN ANGEL, a photoplay in
10 reels by Loew's. © 19May4 2;
LII309. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc.
(PWH); 19May69; R46l980.

[ WAKE UP SCREAMING, a photoplay in
eight reels by Twentieth Century-Fox
Film Corp. © 510ct4l; LIO895 .
Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corp.
(PWH); 4Apr69; R458944.

When searching for renewals, one can search for a key word or phrase if the complete title can't be found. "Screaming" would be a good choice.

My program allows for errors like this and finds matches that aren't perfect (although that doesn't matter in this case because my text is from HathiTrust and I have touched it up a bit).

Summary
(If no renewal was found, the line begins with "-- no --".
Otherwise, the line begins with a number representing how
closely the title was matched; 0.00 means a perfect match,
and 0.18, for example, would indicate a poor match.)

I didn't search that text, I searched the PDF. I did find the renewal when I searched for "wake up screaming". About Springtime in the Sierras. Well, oops. I should have looked more closely at the renewal.

Not a problem.

Speaking of Springtime, I uploaded it last night,(9/28 EDT),
and all indications were that it made it. Edited the meta file with no problem etc but this morning can't find it in the 'just in' category, to get it moved. Any thoughts?

Thanks

You should post a "Please Move" request for the movie in this forum. It's more likely to be moved to Feature Films soon that way. The mods do their best.

Moongleam...

I did search the 1969 catalog. My usual search habit is to go with a two year span, i.e. for a 1940 film, the 67 & 68 catalogs. In the future I'll add a keyword phrase. Thanks for your help.

P.S. Nice program you got there. Any chances of releasing it under a Creative Commons type license? :)
